Sevan National Park wants to boost its business plans, as Sevan National Park Director Vahe Gulanyan said at the consultation on the progress of the reforms held at Sevan National Park. Particularly, it is planned to organize fishing and crawfish hunting, including the development of pool, lake and cage-net fish breeding.
According to Director of Scientific Center for Zoology and Hydroecology of NAS RA Bardukh Gabrielyan, the industrial reserves of the crawfish have reduced almost twice in Lake Sevan. If in 2016 the industrial reserves of the crawfish was assessed in the amount of 4800 tons, this year it made up only 2600 tons. The reserves of the whitefish make up 550 tons. The reserves of the trout make up 15-16 tons. The worst situation is with the reserves of the carp, the Sevan khramulya and the Gokcha barbell.
