First Turbogenerator Delivered to Armenia for Modernization of ANPP Second Power Unit

'Power Machines' Company has sent the first out of two turbogenerators with 236 MW capacity to Armenia for the modernization of the ANPP second power unit. The supply package also includes supporting systems and technological supervision systems, as the press release disseminated by 'Power Machines' Company says.
According to Artem Petrosyan, Head of Nuclear Energy Unit of Energy Department of RA Ministry for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources, their delivery to Armenia will take some time. He also mentioned that around 40 agreements have been signed with the authorized organizations as a result of declared bids, out of which funding is already available for 36. In the frames of these funds, a number of important equipment are planned to be supplied, which should be installed in the nuclear power station.
Particularly, the equipment supplied by 'Power Machines' Company are planned to put into operation for 2018-2019.
 
Reminder: the lifetime extensions of the second power unit of the ANPP is being implemented at the expense of a loan of 270 million USD and a grant of 30 million AMD laid down by the agreement signed by the Republic of Armenia and Russian Federation governments.
