Khdebantsi gold minefield is located 7 km north of Shvanidzor Village, Syunik region and 20 km east from Litchq Village, and includes areas from the land areas owned by Shvanidzor and Tsav Villages. The area designed for the studies make up 529.2 ha. It's planned to drill 40 wells with the depth of 50-100 m. The main water resource in the region is the Araks River with its left-wing brooklets, including the Meghri River.

In the areas adjacent to the area of planned activities we can frequently see red-listed Indian porcupine, the long-eared hedgehog, and the wildcat. You can also see the brown bear and leopard in the high mountains very frequently. 'The area designed for the geological prospecting of Khdebantsi gold minefield borders the area of 'Areviq' National Park, the borders of the designed area and national park in the south-east and north-west,' the project says.
