Water Intake for Irrigation Purposes Launched from Lake Sevan

EcoLur

Since June 8, water has been released from Lake Sevan for irrigation purposes. As of June 11, 9 million 744 thousand cubic meters of water has already been released out of the lake. The level of Lake Sevan is 1900.81 m, which is 1 centimeter higher than on June 11 last year.

It should be noted that this year Lake Sevan has started to bloom with blue-green algae, which testifies to the swamping processes taking place in the lake. Raising the level of the lake is an urgent issue to save Lake Sevan.
