Two Fish Farms in Ararat Region Caused Around 650 Million AMD Damage to Environment

RA Environmental and Mining Inspection Body has estimated damage of 649,892,160 AMD caused to the environment as a result of the inspection carried out in “Mkhtchyan Fish” and “Mary Fish” fish farming companies.

“Mkhtchyan Fish” has violated Article 22 (1(2(a))) of RA Law on Environmental Supervision and the company has been presented a requirement of damages in the amount of 585,169,920 AMD for the damage caused to the environment and an administrative fine for 200,000 AMD has been appointed.

“Mary Fish” has violated Article 22 (1(2(a))) of RA Law on Environmental Supervision and the company has been presented a requirement of damages in the amount of 64,722,240 AMD for the damage caused to the environment and an administrative fine for 200,000 AMD has been appointed.

The companies have violated the requirement of the provision on adherence to the limitations of arbitrary and non-expedient use of water resources.
