The nuclear fuel spent by the French nuclear power plants has been kept under the open sky in Russia. This information is spread by “Reuters” agency making a reference to the French “Liberation” daily newspaper. According to the newspaper, 13% of the radioactive wastes of the nuclear power plant belonging to the French EDF Company has been discovered at one of the closed towns in Siberia. The results of the investigation-report will be published today. EDF Company has refused to confirm the figures referenced by the newspaper, as well as information about keeping nuclear fuel in a non-appropriate place, simultaneously approving the fact that the company has really sent its radioactive wastes to Russia.
