Arpine and Vardan, members of Teghout Support Group, took part in the tree planting held by VALLEX GROUP dealing with development of Teghout deposit. “This is a PR action and not an environmental measure. The students were more inclined to entertainment and asked us why they were brought to that place,” said Arpine Galafyan.
They took part in this event held by VALLEX in T-shirts with “Save Teghout Forest” appeal. “The members of the youth union in Lori took part as well, and they shouted at us and said that we are venal organizations and want them to starve. These young persons surely have ties with VALLEX. They said we would tear off out T-shirts by ourselves by the end of the discussions. It’s a sure thing that nothing like that happened, just the opposite, at the end of tree planting many students asked us for T-shirts,” said Arpine…
Teghout Support Group asks a question to the Armenian Government: “In 25 years when the company will have finished the development of Teghour deposit and end its activity, who will be responsible for the safety of the tailing? Doesn’t the tailing require a lot of expenses?”...
