On 15 October the Armenian Government adopted a decision establishing a permissible standard for emission of harmful substances into atmosphere (200 million cubic meters per year) and this standard enabled to register 1200-1300 organizations out of 60,000 registered organizations the emission of which make up approximately 92-95%.
“Six stations for monitoring of air pollution operate in Armenia, out of 6 stations 4 ones are located in Yerevan, 1 is in Alaverdi and 1 is situated in Tsaghkadzor,” stressed out Aram Harutyunyan at the press conference on 25 December.
This year the area of specially protected areas increased by 76,1 thousand ha, while 41,8 million AMD was allocated to their protection from the state budget.
