Yesterday evening we were informed the vineyards next to Silikyan quarter were on fire. Vineyard owners who phoned us suppose this fire was intentional and planned in advance. The matter is Public Prosecutor Aghvan Hovsepyan and his deputy sought to obtain this quarter for a long time. But this quarter is located in Aghvan Hovsepyan’s brother’s territory, Ajapnyak Prefect Ruben Hovsepyan.
Residents think this fire was directed at eliminating gardens so as to make them suitable for sale or privatization. They bring Dalma Gardens as an example when such tricks were used to seize land areas from their cultivators.
