Panel Discussion on "Environmental Law Enforcement Problems in Armenia. What to Do?" in Yerevan

On September 8, 2023, a panel discussion on "Environmental Law Enforcement Problems in Armenia. What to Do?" will be held at Ani Plaza Hotel in Yerevan organized by "Green Armenia" Environmental and Educational NGO in cooperation with "Forests of Armenia" NGO and "Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Armenia" Foundation.

Four main topics are included in the agenda of the panel discussion. "Center for Community Mobilization and Support" NGO President Oleg Dulgaryan and lawyer Mary Karapetyan will speak on "Teghut Case in ECHR and Defense of 70 Tchotchkan Residents Right To Live In a Healthy Environment."

Lawyers Hayk Alumyan and Director of "Forests of Armenia" NGO Nazeli Vardanyan will address the Amulsar issue during the panel discussion entitled "Amulsar Case, Obstacles and Overcoming Mechanisms".

Lawyer Karen Mezhlumyan will address the issue of placing the statue of Jesus on Mount Hatis during the discussion titled "Case of Hatis: Another Case of Violation of Rights of NGOs To Sue".

Simon Khachikyan, a resident of Karchevan village, Syunik Region, will present the damages he suffered as a result of the operations of "Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine" CJSC, lawyer Gurgen Torosyan will present the details of "Agarak CMC and Judicial Authority of Armenia vs. Simon Khachikyan" court case.
