Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan has met with the delegations of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and International Finance Corporation. In the course of this meeting they particularly discussed Amulsar gold mine development is implemented by Lydian International Company and a part of its shares belong to these financial institutions and a part of the shares belong to these financial institutions. As Nature Protection Ministry informs that the main topic of the meeting was devoted to the minimization of consequences from mining operations, introduction of new technologies and international experience and standards. Aram Harutyunyan noted that the development of Amulsar project should ensure conditions for the preservation of Jermuk and Lake Sevan, and the catchment area of the territories adjacent to the project and biodiversity conservation.

Reminder: these conditions serve as the basis for the positive opinion of the environmental expertise of Amulsar project issued in July 2012.
