Achajur Community Residents, Tavush Region, are beating an alarm that they can get deprived of their drinking water because of the felling conducted in adjacent forests.
Achajur residents say that forest felling plans don’t comply with the factual felling volumes. “We have one thousand families, and each family on average uses 7 square meters of wood, nevertheless, there is no such felling plan in reality. How do they arrange these figures and what goes to the state budget?” the residents ask.
