The public hearings on Amulsar gold-bearing quartzite mine closedown project submitted by “Geoteam” CJSC will be held in Gorayq Rural Municipality at 11:00 on 21 June 2013. This information is displayed on the official website of Nature Protection Ministry.
Amulsar gold-bearing quartzite mine is located on the border of Vayots Dzor and Syuniq regions. It will be developed for 16.5 years. Under mine closedown project, after the end of mining the open mine will be fenced or wired. Dumps will be recultivated and structures will be dismantled.
