On 1 December Odzun community residents officially rejected Shekaghbyur gold-polymetallic mining project, “The residents from Ardvi, Mghart, Odzun, Aygehat, Arevatsag residential areas (parts of Odzun community), who are present in Mghart, are against the implementation of Shekaghbyur project and didn’t allow to have the discussion held. The second public hearings of Shekaghbyur gold-polymetallic mining project to be held on 1 December, at 12:00, are considered not to be held,’ says the minutes signed by Odzun Community Head Arsen Titanyan, which is addressed to RA Nature Protection Minister Artsvik Minasyan and Vardan Sahakyan, Director of “Environmental Impact Assessment Center” SNCO.
