In 2007 Nature Protection Ministry issued to “TSSC Armenia” LLC special license no. 54, which allows the company to conduct prospecting in Shenatagh Community in Syunik Region. “TSSC Armenia” LLC sold its license to “RAK Mineral and Metals Investments Armenia” LLC which is already 10th year since it has been conducting investigations to detect gold and polymetallic mines in Shenatagh village.
Accoding to Shenatagh Community Head Yerjanik Musayelyan, the Aldermen’s Council have decided to allocate 2300 ha to the company. The investigations will be completed by 4 October 2012. “Only 1600 ha are of agricultural significance, and 5000 AMD is paid to the community budget for each hectare,” said Y. Musayelyan.
Still one year ago Tatni mineral water plant was opened in Shamb Community, Syunik Region, and its owners bring water from Shenatagh Village.
