Customs Privileges to Companies in Solar Power

At the meeting held on December 9, RA government granted customs privileges to 2 companies in the field of solar energy, as we learn from the official website of the government.

The first company is "Magnak Solar" LLC, which plans to build "Arev-1" and "Arev-2" solar photovoltaic stations with a capacity of 5,000 kW each. The value of the goods submitted for receiving the privilege is 635 million AMD, the privilege of exemption from customs duties is 61 million AMD.

The stations will be built in Aghberk and Shoghakat Villages in Shoghakat Community in Gegharkunik Region. Each plant will generate 10.5 million kWh of electricity per year. 3.6 billion AMD will be invested in the construction of the stations, out of which 2.9 billion AMD will be spent on equipment, 30 million AMD on land, and 700 million AMD on construction and design works. 3 billion AMD have already been invested. The company has licenses to generate electricity until April 2, 2042.

The second company to receive a customs privilege is "Sharosolar" LLC, which is planned to build a "Sharosolar 1" solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 4810 kW in Katnaghbyur Community in Aragatsotn Region. The value of the goods submitted for receiving the privilege makes up 69.5 million AMD, the exemption from the customs duty constitutes 5.5 million AMD.

The annual capacity of the plant is 10.5 million kWh. 1.8 billion AMD will be invested in the construction of the station, out of which 1.4 billion AMD will be spent on equipment, 17 million AMD on land, and 350 million AMD on construction and design works. 1.5 billion AMD have already been invested.

The company has a license to generate electricity until December 25, 2041.
