On August 3, Environment Minister Romanos Petrosyan had a meeting with Acting Director of "Sevan National Park" SNCO Ara Khloyan. The current state of illegal construction in the coastal areas of Sevan basin was discussed.
The Minister made observations on the issues of reviewing, tightening and redeveloping the current procedure for the organization of industrial fishing. This issue will be addressed in more detail in the near future.
They covered the financial situation of "Sevan National Park" SNCO. Today, the audit delegated by the ministry has already started its operations in the national park. After the audit, at the suggestion of the Minister, a development concept will be drafted on the basis of the financial recovery program of "Sevan" National Park SNCO in partnership with a consulting company.
By the order of the Minister, the operation of "White Shorja" recreation zone in Sevan will be suspended, the illegal pavilions and entertainment infrastructures will be dismantled as soon as possible.
