RA Environment Ministry has circulated on e-draft.am the draft government decision "On defining the procedure for landfill site monitoring".
The document lays down the procedure for developing and implementing a landfill monitoring program.
The proposed document regulates the relationship between the state of the environment in existing, newly constructed solid waste landfills, the state of the environment within their affected area, the development and implementation of a pollution monitoring program, and the presentation of results to the authorized body.
The procedure does not cover performing monitoring in health care facilities, veterinary services, slaughterhouses, livestock, poultry farms, infectious, non-communicable, industrial, radioactive waste disposal sites, as well as the state environment monitoring relations.
