"Veolia Jur" CJSC's Explanation: There Won't Be Reduction in Water Supply Hours

On September 23, "Veolia Jur" CJSC published the water supply schedule of the settlements it serves in the regions and in Yerevan. The schedule 2020, which covers the period from October 1, 2020 to April 30, 2021, gave the impression that water supply hours will be reduced in a number of communities in the  regions and in the capital, Yerevan.

Three days later, on September 26, Veolia Jur” CJSC issued a statement stating that there would be no reduction in water supply hours.

"The company informs that in the period from October 1, 2020 to April 30, 2021 the water supply schedule will remain the same as in the previous period. The new water supply schedule published by "Veolia Water" company does not suppose a reduction of water supply hours.

The publication of water supply schedule is the requirement of License No. 1 issued by Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia, based on the trilateral leasing agreement signed for 15 years between RA Government represented by Water Committee, French “Veolia Group” and “Veolia Jur” Company on 21 November 2016.

Water Supply System Operator of Armenia is obliged to publish the schedule for the coming months twice a year, in April and September. The schedule is published in the newspaper, posted on the company's official website veolia.am, on the Facebook page of Veolia Armenia, as well as it is mentioned in the subscribers' payment receipts," the explanation says.
