At the regular meeting of the Armenian Government on 24 May the government changed the category forest and agricultural land areas for the construction of two small HPPs on the Vorotan River. For this very purpose 0.0516 ha of forest areas in Spandaryan Community and 0.1 ha in Angeghakut were changed into the category of energy, communal etc. Under the projects, the distance between these two HPPs makes up only 42 meters. The projects have been submitted by Syunik Regional Head Suren Khachatryan.
