The Ministry of Nature Protection of RA displayed Kapan-based “Khoustoup” TV Executive Director Sasun Manukyan’s letter addressed to the Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan on its website www.mnp.am in News. The letter particularly says: “Kapan-based “For Ensuring Ecological Safety and Developing Democracy” NGO applied to the Ministry of Nature Protection of RA several times in regard with Deno Gold Mining Company’s operation. Our television gave its own evaluation of these facts (video materials on CD are attached).
I would like to express my gratitude to the Ministry for its well-thought standpoint aimed at ensuring a town forming enterprise’s operation in an unimpeded manner, and not listening to an organization’s statements set up literally by one or two people. By the way, I would like to mention that subordinate departments also hold a similar standpoint that certainly deserves praises. I can assure the combine’s uninterrupted operation is more important for a Kapan resident than this organization’s sponsored operation with its immoral topics.
I would like to add, the abovementioned does not mean that the Territorial Environmental Inspection treats to the company’s operation less consistently. Moreover, the Inspection several times recorded existing violations and made appropriate instructions for their elimination. That the company makes all efforts to eliminate the revealed violations makes happier. I’m sure your policy completely complies with the government policy that support the town-forming enterprise (the government allocated a loan to the company in the frames of this program).
I would like to thank you for this state approach and behaviour.
Sasum Manukyan, Executive Director of “Khoustoup” TV."
