“We Are This City’s Owners” Initiative Group received an alarm signal from the residents at 5 Komitas. It’s the third day since residents have been opposing to a group of people who want to start civil works in the yard on behalf of Yerevan Municipality. The aim is to contract a block of flats in the territory of the inner garden.
They threaten to resort to force without presenting any documents. The resident collected signatures and addressed a letter to the Nature Protection Minister, Urban Development Minister, Health Minister, Yerevan Mayor, and Human Rights Defender. The residents are geared up decidedly, though the engineer there threatened “to cut off their necks, if somebody dares to hinder him”.
