Nation may remain without any water.
About two months ago public got concerned with the problem connected with changing the Gayladzor riverbed, the tributary to the Argitchi River, because of constructing a small hydropower plant…30,000 people are jeopardized to be left without any water…
…At the same time the Nature Protection Ministry informs they still didn’t receive the final decision of the Committee on Sevan Problems by the President of Armenia. Only after they receive it, the Ministry will start examining this problem, making proposals which will last till the end of this year. What about dismantling construction objects on the Gayladzor, the Ministry explained this is beyond its responsibility. Law enforcement bodies haven’t taken any measures so far. This situation is certainly inherent to our country, as the ruling group values not the people and natural resources, but increasing oligarchs’ pocket money.
