…At present 40 million USD from the internal resources of “Vallex” Group Company to implement the program concerning Teghout Mine. “People from all Armenia are employed here. We have 150 people employed from Teghout, and 140 from Shnogh, Alaverdi - 150. The rest of the employees are from other regions of the country. We have also employees from Yerevan and |Vandazor,” Papoyan said.
At present 550 ha out of 60 ha designed for felling in 2010 has been cut down so far. Felling is still in progress in the remaining part of that territory. Ruben Papoyan considers lack of funding the main obstacle to this program implementation.
None of Gagik Khachikyan’s children work at the mine. “My daughter-in-law prepares something to eat for me. Only 170 peopled are employed at the mine, while no vacant places for 180 people. Besides the abovementioned 180 people, the rest employed are from different regions. The young ask for a job, but to no avail. Papoyan is the supervisor, so he employs his own people,” Khachikyan said.
