On 3 September new RA “On Soil” Code was discussed at the Government meeting.
RA Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan heavily criticized the bill of RA “On Soil” Code. Particularly he said WB experts’ recommendations were not taken into account when drawing up the bill. “This is a déjà vu when the state checks how a particular mine is developed,” he said.
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan left the Economy Minister’s remark unanswered.
PM Tigran Sargsyan asked which departments were involved in the working group on drawing up the bill. As it turned out, no representatives of Economy Ministry and Justice Ministry were included. Nevertheless, PM was inclined to accept the bill without any significant amendments and mentioned a serious group drew up this bill, while right to legislating belongs to us and not WB.
By the way, the Government was proposed to set up an individual ministry of soil, but the Government abstained from establishing another ministry.
