Ayntap villagers irrigate their land areas with sewage and garbage. Sewer-pipe drains from the houses run directly to gutters. Besides, garbage is also dumped there. Garbage is collected once a week, no garbage cans and villagers have to get rid of garbage in this way.
Water for irrigation is not sufficient either. “We have to get up at 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. and water our land areas, otherwise we don’t have any water in daytime,” villagers say.
It should be noted that villages dealing with agriculture under similar conditions are many, while products they grow are sold in the markets in Yerevan.
