In 2025, a total of 617 violations were recorded in the field of atmospheric air protection, compared to 397 cases in the previous year, as Head of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, Hovhannes Martirosyan, stated during the press conference held on 20 January, 2026. According to him, the total amount of fines imposed in the sector amounted to 34 million 980 thousand AMD, while the damage caused to atmospheric air was calculated at approximately 160 million AMD.
Out of 617 violations recorded, 217 occurred in Yerevan.
