On October 7–8, a two-day training workshop titled “The Role of Women in Sustainable Energy and Climate Development of Communities” was held in Yerevan. The event was organized by the EU “Covenant of Mayors – East” program, in cooperation with the Union of Communities of Armenia and “Women in Climate and Energy" NGO.
The goal of the workshop was to raise awareness among the target audience about the objectives and progress of the Covenant of Mayors, the challenges and impacts of climate change in Armenia, the role of women in climate change mitigation and adaptation, as well as the integration of gender issues into climate strategies and other related topics.
