

The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) has published the first half of 2025 oversight results in the field of biodiversity protection. Four inspections were carried out in three branches of “ArmForest” State Non-Commercial Organization.
The findings revealed 703 violations, including:
- 5,466 illegally felled trees
- 3,040.7 cubic meters of illegal timber
The calculated environmental damage amounts to:
- 428,946,680 AMD
Violations were also registered related to the export, keeping conditions, and illegal hunting of wild animals, involving:
- 115 live animals
In total, 202 crime reports were submitted to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia for further proceedings.
