“Mendia Resources” LLC intends to extend the period of geological exploration at the Vardenis polymetallic deposit site until 2028. The company’s initial public hearing took place on September 18 of this year in the Vardahovit settlement of Vayots Dzor region.
The public hearing was held in a tense atmosphere with police participation. Both supportive and opposing views were expressed by those present. The results of the hearing must be recorded by Yeghegis Municipality, after which the issue will be submitted to the Yeghegis Community Council for discussion.
Reminder: in 2022, a positive conclusion was issued for conducting geological works at the Vardenis polymetallic deposit, despite opposition expressed by Vayots Dzor Regional Administration and residents of Yeghegis community.
