

The Civil Society Constituency of the Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) under the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) of Armenia announces the start of the election process for new civil society members of the EITI MSG.
On October 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., a conference dedicated to the election process of civil society representatives to the EITI Multi-Stakeholder Group will be held at EcoLur Press Club (49/2 Republic Street, Yerevan).
We invite representatives of civil society organizations engaged in activities related to the mining sector to participate in the conference, during which the election procedure will be discussed and an Election Commission will be formed. The commission will organize the election of the new composition of the EITI Civil Society Constituency (CSC).

Remote participation will be available for representatives from the regions.
ATTENTION
Organizations eligible to vote in the elections are those that, for at least one year prior to the date of the election announcement, have publicly expressed positions related to responsible mining policy and/or other topics relevant to the EITI.
Voting organizations must publicly disclose, in the format established by the Election Commission, information about their activities (implemented projects) over the past year — including funding sources, received amounts, and any interests related to other MSG constituencies.
Organizations eligible to be nominated as candidates must be registered and operating in the Republic of Armenia and must have, for at least the past three years, regularly and publicly expressed positions on responsible mining policy and/or other EITI-related issues.
Candidate organizations must also, in the format established by the Election Commission, publicly disclose information about their activities over the past three years — including funding sources, received amounts, and any interests related to other MSG constituencies. They must also provide documentation confirming their transparency, such as annual reports, websites or social media presence, public events, research, and similar materials.
The Election Commission shall consist of at least 3 and no more than 7 members. Members of the commission shall be persons of public trust, nominated by voting organizations, and their professional activity need not be related to the mining sector.
Representatives or employees of organizations seeking election as MSG civil society members or alternate members cannot serve on the Election Commission.
