Armenia and Russia will exchange information on the nuclear accidents: on June 25 the Armenian Government gave its consent to the proposal on signing agreement on “On Information Exchange and Operative Awareness on Nuclear Accidents in Fields of Nuclear and Radiation Safety between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation.” The signature of the agreement plans to define the conditions for exchanging information and operative awareness on nuclear and radiation safety. It will promote increase in the safety of nuclear energy. With the signature of this agreement the Republic of Armenia will implement the INEA proposals laid down in Article 9 of the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident signed on 26 September 1986.
