The Head of Environmental and Mining Inspection Body, Hovhannes Martirosyan, has summarized the activities carried out in 2025.
“Over the course of the year, a total of 3,303 violations were recorded, representing an increase of approximately 30 percent compared to 2024. As a result of these violations, the total amount of fines imposed reached 248 million 750 thousand AMD, which is about 20 percent higher than in 2024.
As a result of oversight activities, damages amounting to approximately 33 billion 906 million AMD were calculated, out of which 7 billion 537 million AMD relate to damage caused to the environment.”
