The license issuing process in the field of nuclear energy is centralized in one body. On 6 March the executive made amendments to one of its earlier resolutions, which say that from now on RA State Nuclear Safety Regulatory Committee by the Government is in charge of issuing licenses in the field of nuclear energy.
So far Energy and Natural Resources Ministry issued licenses for the import and export of the nuclear substances on behalf of the Armenian Government, while RA State Nuclear Safety Regulatory Committee by the Government issued other licenses to perform a number of functions for the use of the nuclear energy.
