Don't Support Our Sevan Destruction: 'SOS Sevan' to MPs (Photos)

On 28 April “SOS Sevan” initiative held a protest demonstration calling the deputies not to support the destruction of Lake Sevan and to vote against RA Law “On Making Amendments to RA Law “On state complex program on the recovery, preservation, reproduction and natural development and usage of Lake Sevan ecosystem”.

Reminder: the bill is on the agenda of the National Assembly. If the bill is adopted, annual water outlet of 170 million cubic meters will be added up to 240 million cubic meters for 5 years. The public is concerned and opposes to the adoption of this bill:

“Don't support the destruction of our Sevan. 'SOS Sevan' initiative is calling to vote against RA Law “On Making Amendments to RA Law “On state complex program on the recovery, preservation, reproduction and natural development and usage of Lake Sevan ecosystem”.

'Lake Sevan is not only an environmental object, but also a political, strategic and survival object for the people,” stated Academician Ruben Jrbashyan at the annual meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia on 23 April”.
