The Bldan River flows in Tavush Region, a tributary to the Aghstev. It starts from the southern slopes of Bovaqar mountain and joins the Aghstev River on the left. Its length is 15 km.
As of 1 January 2013, under the licenses issued by Public Services Regulatory Committee, the construction license for “Bldan” SHPP was issued to be operated by “Bldan” LLC, derivation length – 2703 meters, which will make up 18.02% of the river.
