Its length is 26 km, the catchment area is 129 sq. kilometers. Its waters are used for irrigation purposes. The river flows into the Dzoraget.
As of 1 January 2014, under the licenses issued by Public Services Regulatory Committee and the main indicators of small hydro power plants operated by hydropower companies, “Kurtan” SHPP is constructed on this river, which is operated by “Tirakal” LLC, derivation length - 3086 meters.
