Concentrations of Dust and Nitrogen Dioxide Exceeded Permissible Standard in Yerevan

In Yerevan, the concentrations of dust and nitrogen dioxide have exceeded the permissible standard, as the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of Environment Ministry informs, which published the state of atmospheric air pollution in Yerevan on May 18-19, 2022.

"The concentration of dust in Kentron administrative district exceeded the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) by 1.6 times. The concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded the MPC in Nor Nork by 1.2 times,” the press release says. According to the press reslease, other harmful pollutants such as dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls, polyaromatic hydrocarbons and other pollutants may be released into the atmosphere as a result of the fire at Nubarashen landfill site.
