Court Rejected Lydian Armenia's Claim Against An Amulsar Defender

On June 4, 2021, RA Civil Court of Appeals rejected the lawsuit filed by "Lydian Armenia" CJSC against Amulsar Defender, Jermuk resident Shirak Buniatyan. The company demanded to confiscate one million AMD in compensation from Buniatyan for tarnishing its business reputation, to publicly refute the statement made about the company. However, under this decision of Appeal Court, "Lydian Armenia" will have to pay Shirak Buniatyan. The court decided that 60,000 AMD would be confiscated from the company as a reasonable remuneration for the defendant's lawyer, and 9,000 AMD as a state fee previously paid in the Court of Appeal.

As it is mentioned on Datalex.am website, judicial information system, in MaxInfo’s Facebook group entitled "Be Maximally Informed" on 25.02.2019 Lika Svasyan posted "When Lydian Armenia transfers money to Luys Foundation, “environmentalists” shout it is corruption. And when Zangezur factory transfers so many millions to the Prime Minister's wife fund, according to the "fighters" it is all right. Why don't they give interviews, write statuses? If Lydian is not allowed to develop the mine, this will once again show that the problem is really of a political nature ... ". Under this post the respondent (ed. Shirak Bunityan) left the following comment, “Do not forget that Zangezur factory has been swallowing Syunyats mountains for many years. [The company] donated a few kopecks from its profit. Whereas Lydian is still in the construction phase, when it announces that it needs an additional fifty million to be able to operate the mine and transfers money to Serzhik’s fund, which is indirect corruption."
