Despite active public opposition, Nature Protection Ministry brings its candidate for the position of director of ‘Khosrov Forest’ State Reserve.On 23 November a competition was held for the vacant position at Nature Protection Ministry. Out of three announced candidate, one only candidate turned up - Deputy Director of Khosrov Reserve Gabriel Poghosyan. “Khosrov Reserve” and “Trchkan” initiative opposed to this very candidate. At the press conference of 23 November three representatives of the initiatives – Yeghia Nersisyan, Meri Khachatryan and Anna Shahnazaryan expressed their concern with the fact that the candidate (“Ноно” nickname) not only doesn’t have any professional background, but also is famous for his relations with poachers. As it’s known, the candidate should take an aptitude test and the Ministry ensured that he answered correctly to 85% of questions. They will declare about the results later.
