At the beginning of the last century there was a Gili Lake near to Lake Sevan which was rich in flora and fauna. Together with the decrease in Lake Sevan level the country was deprived of this mountainous lake either. Several programs have been worked out to recover Gili, however, they were not implemented. Specialists insist unless Lake Sevan has its previous level, the recovery of Gili is harmful.
