The Vedi Criminal Investigation Unit of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of Armenia's Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case based on the fire in the area of "Khosrov Forest" State Reserve.
At 12:10 on 12 August 2017, Fire Brigade of Vedi Rescue Service received an alarm signal that a fire had broken out at 11:30 in the section called Zimni and its adjacent areas. According to the preliminary data, around 200-250 ha of grass-covered and forest-covered areas are on fire. A criminal case has been initiated based on this fact in line with Article 297 (1) and Article 186 (2) of RA Criminal Code: all the necessary investigative and judicial actions are taken to find out the cause of the fire.
