Throughout the work week, Yerevan experienced dangerous levels of air pollution in terms of PM2.5 pollution, which measures the amount of fine particles in the air. According to World Health Organization (WHO) standards, the annual average level of PM2.5 should not exceed 10 μg/m3, and the daily average level should not exceed 25 μg/m3. According to The World Air Quality Index, the level of pollution in Yerevan on December 8 exceeds the WHO average annual norm from 12 to 16 times.
