Today, communities in Armenia are facing the challenges of climate change, including shortages of drinking and irrigation water, land degradation, floods, droughts, reduction of forest areas, wildfires, and frosts.
These threats place balanced and sustainable community development at risk.
In order to identify these issues and ensure that the voices of communities are heard, consultations were held with members of the National Assembly, local self-government bodies, and active residents in the communities of Talin, Pampak, and Meghri. These consultations took place within the framework of UNDP project “Promoting Responsiveness, Effectiveness, Transparency, and Inclusiveness of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.”
The results have been summarized in Ecolur’s new video.
