On May 14, 2021 in Yerevan was held "Climate Change Adaptation in Armenia. Challenges and Opportunities” Expo forum. About 120 representatives from different sectors addressed issues related to climate change adaptation through thematic discussions, observing its impact on various sectors of the country.
Welcoming the initiative, Nona Budoyan, Head of Climate Policy Department of RA Ministry of Environment, noted that issues related to climate change are extremely important for Armenia as a developing country, as in the case of developing countries these processes imply improvement of existing living conditions.
During the event, the participants discussed in six workshops the problems existing in the most vulnerable areas in terms of climate change, their adaptation actions and opportunities for cooperation.
During the event, Green Expo was held, during which a number of private companies presented their products and services that contribute to the adaptation process, from fertilizers to technical solutions.
The expo forum was held within the framework of "National Adaptation Plan (NAP) to advance medium and long-term adaptation planning in Armenia" project.
