Inga Zarafyan, President of "EcoLur" Informational NGO, presents facts about violations of international conventions by Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan is not only a directly polluting country, but according to various international assessments, it has already poisoned both the Caspian Sea and the Absheron Peninsula, where their main production is concentrated," Zarafyan noted.
According to her, the pollution here reaches astronomical numbers, which have already been published. "Azerbaijan violates the Caspian Sea Convention on various points, which applies to five countries bordering the sea. It is noteworthy that the international experts who conducted and published the research are also silent," the expert emphasized.
The Armenian side is not participating in the COP29 conference in Baku these days. "The civil society has already issued a statement informing that its representatives will not participate in the conference due to security and human rights issues," Inga Zarafyan concluded.
