Yerevan will hold “Earth Hour 2013” event from 20:30 to 21:30 on 23 March 2013. The external lights of buildings, as well as street lights will be switched off for one hour. WWF Armenia, Nature Protection Ministry, Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, Yerevan Municipality, Renewable and Energy Saving Fund of Armenia, UNDP, Global Environmental Fund, HSBC Bank, and ‘Best Western Congress’ have joined to take part in and to hold “Earth Hour” world event, which aims to unite society, business, communities and other stakeholders around an idea of switching off light for one hour for the sake of conserving planet conditions and resources.
