Recently we have visited the area of “Marmarashen” SHPP operated by “Elbist” LLC. The Akhuryan river, which the third full-water river in Armenia, was almost dried out. The dam of the SHPP almost closed the current of the water, the fish pass was constructed so as it was impossible for the fish to pass there.” Under the SHPP developers, the environmental flow rate is not essential for them and they take as much water as they need, while they were not interested in incorrect construction of the fish pass, the press release of the PEF says.
