The first thermally modernized building has been opened in Yerevan. The official ceremony of the opening was held on 19 September at 6 Daniel Varuzhan Street, in Avan administrative area. Due to the measures aimed at increasing the energy efficiency, the specific characteristics of the thermal energy in the building has improved by 60%, which will annually save up to around 6 million AMD.
Energy efficiency works of the building has been funded by UNDP-GEF and co-funded by Yerevan Municipality.
