COP 17 through the eyes of civil society

On the eve of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, EcoLur is launching a new information cycle, “COP17 Through the Eyes of Civil Society.”

COP17 will be held in Yerevan from 18 to 31 October 2026. This is one of the most significant international environmental events, bringing together representatives from more than 180 countries.

COP17 opens new opportunities for the country and for civil society to overcome environmental challenges, biodiversity loss, and the shortage of natural resources.

It can serve as a platform for presenting national priorities and finding partners to address these issues.
Considering the exceptional importance of COP17, EcoLur is opening a special section, “COP17 Through the Eyes of Civil Society,” which will present key COP17 decisions, materials on the government’s responsibility in the environmental agenda, transparency of decision-making, and civil society participation. It will also feature alternative viewpoints defending the environmental rights of citizens and the interests of target communities and future generations.
